Port Angeles is a beautiful little town located on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington, and it’s where I’ve called home for the past 7 months.
A small town, with a population of about 19,000 – it’s a bit different than where I was born and raised. Growing up in a city with about 100x that population I was not used to there not even being a shopping mall within a reasonable driving distance – but since moving here, there has been a lot of things that I’ve surprisingly learned to love.
I recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local small business celebrating their 6th anniversary. In the heart of downtown, Port Angeles is Moxie boutique – a small store carrying women’s clothing & accessories. I actually discovered this place before I called Port Angeles my temporary home, and instantly fell in love.
These kinds of stores are my favorite, I’m not a big fan of shopping at giant stores with multiple levels and clothes scattered everywhere. The bigger the shop gets, the more overwhelming it becomes, and by the time I pick out all my clothes – my brain becomes too fried to enjoy trying them on. This place was the opposite experience and the ladies who work here were all super friendly and helpful.
The store itself actually has a super cute beachy feel to it, and they even have a lot of items that would be perfect for a day by the ocean, or in our case – the lake. They’ve got beach towels, flip flops and they even cary Pura Vida – one of my favorite jewelry lines. On my most recent visit, I found out they carry Billabong and O’Neil. Some of our favorite surf brands -and I almost never leave the shop empty handed. Follow me on IG as I’ll be posting outfit of the day pictures soon featuring my latest shopping trip goodies.
So if you live in town, or nearby and haven’t checked out Moxie yet, be sure to – they are located on 101 W 1st St, in Port Angeles WA and while they don’t have a website at the moment they have a facebook page found here. Be sure to follow them on facebook too, they seem to post pictures of items they are featuring in case it’s a bit of a drive for you to come in. A highly recommended stop too if you are just traveling and visiting for the summer.
I’ll be doing more of this series, as well as an addition of where to eat. When I’m not shopping, I’m eating or at a coffee shop and I’ve already got some great little recommendations lined up for ya’ll so be sure to follow my blog for more updates. Until then!
